Sophia's Preschool Grad Program

Our little tiny baby just finished her first year of preschool!!! How did this happen?!?!?!?

Flashback to her FIRST day of preschool:

Sophia technically didn't graduate because she's going back next year (but full time instead of only 1/2 the week- our checking account is already feelin' the pain- Haha) But they had a super cute ocean themed program and got certificates and walked across the stage.

Sophia's happy to be going back to All God's Children next year, and we're happy because she has awesome teachers and we love the message that a Christian School instills. BUT we were hoping for her to go to Pre-K since she's such a little smarty-pants. However, Pre-K isn't state funded in Hawaii, so there is a private school by our house that had free tuition because of fundraising BUT this year their Pre-K program got a federal grant, so now you have to be low income to qualify... like SUPER low...like below the poverty line low, so.....unless I quit my job, she can't go. Oh well.

I believe that kids should get to be kids, and too much forced structured learning is actually bad for them. Haha. There will be plenty of time to conform to someone else's rules later in life.  You know what Einstein says:

"It is a miracle that curiosity survives formal education"
