Strawberry Guava Jelly

This weekend I made some delicious Strawberry Guava Jelly with blackberries and apples. I read that you need the apples to add pectin, instead of using a bought thickener, so that's what I did and it worked great!

RECIPE
4 cups strawberry guava
2 cups blackberries
2 cups apples (2 medium apples)
8 cups water
3.75 cups sugar

Wash  Strawberry Guava and apples. Chop apples. Place all fruits in a pot. Add water. Boil until fruit is mushy.

Strain juice through a mesh sieve

Add sugar. (measure juice and add 3/4 cups sugar to every one cup of juice- should be about 5 cups of juice =3.75 cups sugar)

Boil until thick enough to stay on a frozen spoon.

Ladle into sterilized jars, leaving 1/4 inch head space

Process in boiling water bath for 8 minutes.
