Continuing my “cheap eats” series, I bring you: turkey gyros. These were super easy and cheap to make even on Molokai.
Meatballs:
2 lbs ground turkey
2 TBS olive oil
1/2 cup minced onion
1tsp salt
4 cloves garlic
1 tub feta
2 TBS oregano
Pepper to taste
Bake at 375 for 30-45 min until they’re no longer pink in the middle
Tzaki sauce:
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup Greek yogurt
1/2 cup grated cucumber
1tsp fresh dill
3 TBS fresh lemon juice
2 tsp garlic powder
Toppings:
Diced tomatoes
Shredded lettuce
Diced cucumbers
