We love you Beeze

Way back in 2009, Daniel and I adopted this gorgeous little puffball. We had to go through an extreme vetting process to adopt from a local shelter in Columbia. We went to look at cats and as we were walking in to the shelter there was one puffy grey mean looking one in a cage by herself in the front entry. All the other nice cats were in a room where you could pet them and play with them, and pick one to adopt....Well, all the cats liked Daniel more than me, so I asked if we could see the one from solitary confinement. 😂 She was the one.

Her name was Kona, which we thought was stupid, so we filled out her 80million pages of paperwork, waited a week or more for it all to clear, then picked her up, took her home and changed her name to Isabel.

Fast forward to 2011, I took my job with Mycogen and we moved to Hawaii, After a 6 month quarantine period, and several hundreds of dollars in registrations, vaccinations, and airline tickets Isabel earned her Hawaiian residency as well, and the name Kona seemed like it had been a sign all along.

She put up with us through the last 9 years, 4 houses, 4 pregnancies, 3+ kids, 2 dogs, 1 goat, bunches of chickens and everything else we ‘challenged’ her with.

She was a great cat and a great addition to the family, and we will all miss her so so so so so much.
