Biscuits

This is THE BEST biscuit recipe!

The secret is you grate in cold butter.








 Recipe:
3 cups flour
3 tsp sugar
1.5 TBS baking powder
3/4 tap cream of tartar
3/4 tap salt
3/4 cup chilled butter
1 cup milk

Mix all dry ingredients together.

Use a cheese grater to grate in butter.

Stir in milk until just combined.

Roll out to 1/2 and inch or a little thicker. Just don’t make them too thin! Recombine the leftovers and keep rolling out until you use it all up.

Cut them out with a biscuit cutter- I use an egg thing because I don’t own a biscuit cutter. 

Bake at 400 for 10-12 min.

Brush tops with more butter after you taken them out of the oven.

Makes 12 biscuits.
