I have been scouring the internet for Barbie furniture! And the bad thing is I can't find very much. I've been looking for Barbie furniture, 11 inch doll furniture, 1:6 dollhouses and furniture. And there's really not much especially if you want something that's doesn't look like a crappy homemade craft project. No thanks to the sink that is CLEARLY a fruit cup with a bead glued on top...
We have it on pretty good authority that Santa's elves are making a dollhouse this year, and said elves wanted some furniture to go inside. They also weren't opposed to purchasing some furniture, but that doesn't really exist much either. I guess when you buy a Barbie house it comes with some furniture that is not sold separately. The elves wanted a gift from the heart instead.
Also, Mamma elf thought it would be cool to go with a modern beachy theme for said dollhouse. Pale soothing colors and natural materials rather than the pink on pink on pink of commercial Barbie houses. Plus the fact that Barbie, Raquelle, Theresa, And the like will be cohabiting with Ken and GI Joe so it would be nice to have something a little more gender neutral.

First an old cardboard box was used to cut a frame. Medium weight cardboard like a Macy's or Amazin box. Some strips were cut 1" by 5" and a thicker piece for the base.
The strips were put together using painters tape.
