Happy Second Birthday Olivia

It's a very strange time we live in right now.

Olivia turned two yesterday. She had the best birthday she could have hoped for, and reminded us all to enjoy the simple things in life.

I had to work a 10+ hour day, but I still wanted to make the day special and fill it with all of Olivia's favorite things. I didn't make it for the morning surprise, but luckily Sophia planned a fun day for her siblings while I was at work. They watched Frozen, sang Frozen songs. I made a funfetti cake and attempted some Frozen decorations.

Since there are no covid cases on Molokai after the first two, and everything is opening up, we felt like it would be ok to have a couple of friends over to help celebrate.

The kids had a dance party, played on the trampoline, ate Olivia's favorite foods (hotdogs and mac and cheese) had cake and ice cream, opened presents, and just had an overall blast playing with someone else after being under stay at home orders for so long.

At two years old Livs is soooooo smart, too smart for her own good, probably. She speaks clearly in complete sentences and talks all.the.time.  She can walk and run and climb and swing and throw probably the best of all 4, most likely because she's always trying to keep up with the big kids. As mature as she is (her favorite thing to do when she hears that she's about to get scoldings is yell "I'm little" because she's seen that work for Ethan) she won't give up her dang paci.
